Fuel Cycle is seeking a Director of Research to lead our research team based in NYC. As the Director of Research, you will be responsible for leading a team of researchers and managing multiple research projects from the proposal stage through final report delivery. Responsibilities include supporting and managing all research activities, tracking metrics, study design, developing questionaires, analyzing & presenting findings to our clients, while leading, mentoring and developing a successful team. The ideal candidate is a passionate and inspirational leader, with thorough knowledge of different qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and a desire to mentor and build a solid research team.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility will be to deliver in-depth insights and quality service on all research projects
  • Support research team by providing input on proposals, research design, and reporting
  • Support clients by developing research plans designed to capture their needs and objectives
  • Research and explore alternate research methods to meet client's needs and expectations
  • Monitor study performance, quality, design, and budgets
  • Anticipate clients' needs and requirments, while proactively managing expectations and offering solutions to issues as they arise
  • Oversee internal education and training program for research management team to ensure team is setup for success, have a thorough understanding of Fuel Cycle policies and procedures, and are developing their research acumen

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of market research experience either on client or supplier side; experience with online communities is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA is a plus
  • Experience with a variety of research methodologies; including segmentation, concept testing, qualitative & quantiative research
  • Advanced excel skills, experience with R, SAS, SPSS, Qualtrics, SurveyGizmo, SurveyMonkey, and/or Tableau highly desired
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities
  • Proven ability to interact at and communicate to all levels of an organization.
  • Comfortable leading meetings and presenting in front of groups of colleagues, partners or customers
