    As the Desktop Support Technician you will be responsible for supporting the IT Manager and our growing organization. Responsibilities will include maintaining, processing and troubleshooting of computer systems and operations. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, a problem solver, and an excellent communicator.     • Provide desktop support to users
    • Assist personnel with PCs, servers, networks, printers, software, and phones
    • Management and operation of LAN, WAN and infrastructure
    • Create and maintain desktop images
    • Perform routine network and PC installation, and troubleshoot, maintain and resolve any related problems
    • Server management, including patching
    • Conducts research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts. 
    • Maintains network backups, recovery and procedures
    • Creates and maintains network documentation as change occurs
    • Remove/disable system access for departing employees
    • Analyze desktop hardware and software processes for efficiency and
    • Coordinate upgrade of desktop equipment and software
    • Be the primary point of contact for personnel with any IT question or task
    • Manage Active Directory and Exchange users and groups
    • Maintains an accurate inventory of computer hardware, software, IP addresses, user accounts and passwords
    • Train personnel on how to best use the different systems and tools
    • Receive, prioritize, and respond to incoming calls and or emails regarding equipment and or connectivity problems
    • Troubleshoots and resolves telecommunications related problems
    • Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for network administration, usage and disaster recovery
    • Support and maintains the following platforms, services and equipment:
      • Microsoft Server Operating Systems
      • Microsoft Office 365
      • TCP/IP
      • Microsoft GPO, WSUS,
      • Network and Anti-Virus
      • VPN’s, Networks, and Firewalls


    Desktop Support

    • 2+ years of Office 365 administration and Office desktop applications support: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Exchange + Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint and Skype for Business
    • Experience with Azure AD user management both for Office 365 and third-party applications
    • Tracking and updating all software licenses on-prem and subscriptions on-cloud
    • Office 365 certifications a plus

    Windows Server & Client Administration

    • Strong knowledge of Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 2016
    • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Certificate Services, Group Policies, File and Print services, and cross platform (Mac and Linux) authentication with Windows Domain
    • Experience with maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting DHCP/DNS/WSUS/WDS/NPAS
    • Strong working knowledge of SCCM for scheduling auto deployment and software updates
    • Maintenance and user support for workstations running Windows 10
    • MCSA certifications a plus

    Networking and Security Operation

    • Knowledge in basic networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, DMZs, Switches and Firewalls
    • Experience maintaining and updating security patches, version and signature updates
    • Experience with managing secure environments using MFA, DLP, and encryption
    • The ability to professionally document Root Cause Analysis and ongoing system documentation


    • Experience with VMware ESX, vSphere, vMotion, vSAN, NSX, Site Recovery Manager, vCloud
    • VMware Horizon View Virtual Desktop
